Objective of the Course

These courses cover various topics concerning Inland Vessels including dredger so as to meet new challenges on board vessels. These courses enables the trainees in attaining the Certificate of Competency (CoC) in their respective grades.

Eligibility:1.Candidates must be in possession of valid COC as 2nd Class Master/1st Class Engine Driver issued under IV Act various maritime boards. 2.Should be medically fit and certified by IWAI empanelled MBBS medical practitioner . 3.Must have Completed preoartory course of 1 month duration. 4.There should be minimum onboard service of 3 years after 2nd Class Master / 1st Class Engine Driver , out of which one year as 2nd Class Master ( in-charge of the vessel /1st class Engine Driver ,out of which one year as 2nd Class Master (in-charge of the vassel / 1st Class Engine Driver (Engine room in-charge ) of I-V for minimum 12 months. The vessel must not be of less then 500 GT (1st Class Master) and / or 750 kwh(I-V Engineer).
